Psychological Counselling Cell

As per guidelines of the MHRD, Govt. of India and State Government of Chhattisgarh, State Mental Health Hospital, Sendri, Bilaspur under the National Mental Health programme, the University has established the Psychological Counselling Centre on 29th November, 2016. In order to smooth functioning of the centre, a three member committee has been constituted namely: Prof. P.J. Mishra, Coordinator, and Dr. Payal Banerjee & Dr. Pransanjit Panda its member. The Psychological Counselling Centre is situated in the Health Centre of the University. In the Health Centre Premises the board of centre is located for the ready references of the students. The timing of the Centre is 10.30 A.M. to 11.30 A.M., 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. and also 4.30 to 5.30 P.M. respectively every day. On the outside of the Centre one letter draft box is also situated where students can share their problems to the Centre member maintain confidentiality. All the members of Counselling Centre continuously and regularly interacted with the students to know their personal, group society problems and heard seriously, guide them properly and sort out the problems with alternative. Further, in case of emergency, the Counselling Centre provide proper guidance and suggestions to the depressed before their Head of the Department. The Psychological counselling Centre from time to time conducted the lectures, discussion on depression and removal of its attribute and tension in the teaching departments i.e. Journalism, Education, Hindi, Biotechnology, Law, Forestry and Rural Technology. Also, the Counselling Centre teach the students to keep away from tensions & depression by way of participating sports activities.

The Psychological Counselling Centre also ensure the Medical check up to the students in case they suffering from psychological problems. Also, those who are suffering from depression and psychological problems, the Counselling Centre treats them as a part of the family member and keep their all information confidentially. The University Psychological Counselling Centre and its member playing an important role to the students, employees & teachers to connect them towards the social res responsibilities also and shaping peacefull society.
