Rules and Regulations (Per Day)
Note: Aadhar card or passport will be needed as address proof before guest house booking.
All guests are bound by the Rules of Stay and Guidelines of the Guest House and acknowledge the same by signing the register at the time of check-in.
All applications for Guest House facilities are to be made only in the official proforma. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Guest House accommodation is given by the Director based on the priorities set in the Guest House Regulations.
All guests, except those designated University Guests by the Vice Chancellor, shall pay the rent for the entire booking period, even if the room remains unoccupied due to late arrival. The requisitioner is responsible for non-payment of rent.
The guest may check in at any time. However, for accounting purposes, a day is defined as 24 hours from the time of occupation. Any fraction of a day is counted as a full day.
All guests must make an entry with ID proof in the Register at the reception/counter upon arrival and again before departure. A valid and recognized ID is mandatory.
Indian nationals must present their Aadhar Card, Official ID, or any Government-issued ID at check-in.
Foreign nationals must present passports with valid visas at the reception. A copy will be forwarded to Koni Police Station, Bilaspur-495009.
Guests who violate any Rules or Guidelines or cause inconvenience/discomfort to others may be asked to leave the premises by the Director.
The main door opens at 5:00 a.m. and closes at 11:00 p.m.
Visitors are allowed only between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
The tariff is subject to change at any time without prior notice.
All digital payments must be made to the official bank account of the Registrar, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur-495009 or as decided by competent authority.
50% of the advance payment will be refunded if cancellation is made at least 7 days prior to confirmation date.
For Non-Official category guests, confirmation is done only after receiving 50% advance payment.
Cooking and washing are not permitted inside the rooms.
Pets are not allowed in the Guest House or its premises.
Persons suffering from infectious or contagious diseases are not allowed to stay.
Guests must not exchange rooms or move to other rooms without prior permission from the Director.
Use of tobacco, illegal drugs, and chewing gum is strictly prohibited inside the Guest House or its premises.
Gambling, smoking, consumption of liquor, or any unlawful behavior is strictly prohibited anywhere in the Guest House or on campus.
Guests must switch off all electrical appliances (fan, lights, kettle, AC, geyser, etc.) before leaving the room.
Damage to Guest House property is illegal. Any damage or loss caused voluntarily or accidentally will result in a fine. The requisitioner is responsible if the guest refuses to pay.
The Guest House or University shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to persons or their belongings during the stay.
If a guest takes any inventory item from the room, it will be added to the bill.
Drivers are not allowed to stay overnight unless they have booked accommodation. In exceptional cases, they may sleep in the staff room.
Allotment of accommodation does not confer any tenancy rights. The University reserves the right to vacate rooms at any time without notice or reason.
The Vice-Chancellor’s decision shall be final in interpreting these rules. Rules may be amended with VC’s approval. In exceptional cases, the VC may grant exemptions on merit.
