Official Language Cell

The Official Language Cell was established in 2009 in Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya. Initially it was serving under the Development department of the university. Now it is working as an independent cell. The main goal of Official Language Cell is to follow the Official Language Act 1963, Rule 1976 and official language policy in the university as well as to ensure the implementation of the policy and guidelines of Official Language Department, MHRD, GOI as defined from time to time. It is remarkable that  our university is in ‘Ka’- region. As per guidelines, an official language committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor. For review of the use of Hindi as an official language, this committee meets once in every three month. For implementation of official language policy in the university Hindi Officer has been appointed. Official Language Cell is committed to implement official language policy in the university. As per official language policy all the name plates, notice boards and seals have been made bilingual. All the forms and documents are also being made bilingual.

ACHIEVEMENTS
The Official Language Cell was conducted one day training workshop on December-22 for the employees of   administrative sections of university, in which 16 employees participated. Official language cell also conducted a training workshop on March 21 for the employees of university in which 41 employees participated. Official language cell also organized a program on 14 September, 2017 on the day hindi divas.On this occasion lecture was delivered by senior author, writer and columnist DR. Shree Ram Parihar on the topic Rastriy Asmita our hindi bhasha and also orgnaised aKaya Gosthi .Official language cell orgnaised a program on February 21 2018,on the  matra bhasha Divas .On this occasion lacture was delivered by Dr Vinay Pathak Chairmen Rajya Bhasa Ayog on the topic matra bhasha.
