Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics with Apprenticeship
Under Apprenticeship Based UG Degree Programme (ABDP) 2025
Brief Introduction of Programme
Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary field that seamlessly integrates physics, mechanical engineering, electronics, and computer engineering to develop intelligent and automated systems.
The 4-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary program designed to meet the current needs of the industrial sector. Additionally, the course aims to strengthen academia-industry linkages, enhancing the employability of the next generation.
The primary goal of this program is to bridge the gap between what is taught in the classroom and what is required by the industry, thereby developing the employability of undergraduate students. To achieve this, the competencies demanded by the industry are incorporated into the university curriculum, addressing the Education-Employability gap.
In today’s rapidly changing environment, mechatronics serves as the foundation for advancements in robotics, manufacturing automation, consumer electronics, and precision instrumentation.
This field equips graduates with the skills to design and enhance intelligent products and processes by integrating both hardware and software solutions. By adopting a comprehensive approach, Mechatronics graduates facilitate the creation of efficient, adaptive, and reliable systems that can dynamically respond to their environments.
This drives progress in areas such as autonomous vehicles, medical technologies, industrial robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
