Introduction
Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), with a vibrant academic community of more than 10,000 students, over 500 teaching faculty, and 500 non-teaching staff across 33 departments, supports 22 welfare schemes that enhance educational, physical, social, and cultural development. Among these, the GGV Saarthi Yojana, launched in 2022, stands out for enabling sustainable, inclusive, and accessible intra-campus mobility.

Objectives
- Promote sustainability through electric, emission-free transport.
- Ensure equitable mobility for differently-abled, elderly, and all members.
- Simplify daily commuting for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Cultivate student volunteerism through campus service initiatives.
Services Offered
- Intra-campus travel through four electric golf carts (two currently operational).
- Priority support for differently-abled, elderly, sick, and emergency situations.
- Volunteer-staffed operations, helping schedule rides and assist users.
- Transport coverage for students, faculty, staff, guardians, and visitors.
Volunteer Engagement
A core team of 30 trained Saarthi student volunteers manages ride coordination and assistance, supported by faculty supervisors. They also maintain logs, feedback, and maintenance reports.
