About Saraswati Sur Kendra
GGV Saraswati Sur Kendra (GGV-SSK)
Extending Music for Every Soul
Introduction
Among the many welfare initiatives at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), the GGV Saraswati Sur Kendra (GGV-SSK) stands out as a vibrant effort to integrate music into academic and community life. Officially launched in January 2025, this self-financed music training centre caters to students, faculty, staff, and their families, offering instrumental and vocal courses in an inclusive, supportive environment.
The idea emerged one evening after a cultural event where a faculty child softly strummed an unplugged guitar backstage. That moment inspired coordinators to formalize a space where spontaneous creativity could thrive.
“One campus, many minds: GGV-SSK strikes the first note for all who seek rhythm and mindfulness beyond age and routine.”
