About GGV Shiksha Mitra Sanskar (GGV-SMS)

GGV Shiksha Mitra Sanskar Yojana (GGV-SMS)

Bridging Gaps through Education and Empathy

Introduction

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), Bilaspur, launched the Shiksha Mitra Sanskar Yojana (GGV-SMS) in January 2024 to address educational disparities faced by children from rural and economically weaker sections. The scheme emerged when students observed underprivileged children teaching themselves under a neem tree with discarded notebooks. Inspired, they returned with resources, transforming spontaneous compassion into a structured initiative.
