INTRODUCTION

The Department of Education had been established in 2007 and started academic journey with integrated M.Phil. and Ph.d. but  now department of education grow as big academic department in all aspects of education. .

The department of education understand that Teacher may be define from various views, Philosophically define teacher as Guru on the basis of Knowledge, Value and Ideal of life, Historically we found teacher as Rishi, Sant, Achary,Upadhyay,Lama, Maulvi,Father etc, Socially we looks teacher as developer of society and creator of civic sense, Psychologically  teacher works  as personality developer, counselor and  Scientifically we accepts  teacher as facilitator. In addition to this whole understanding of teachers the Department of education keeps dynamic sense about teachers and accepts that teacher as Human Engineer, Social Doctor and Educational Technician in present context.In this regard, The Department of Education is committed to bring out the best potentials of its perspective teacher educators and teachers to develop them as empowered and envisioned leaders of Indian Education. The Department possesses a team of able and sensitive teacher educators striving to promote among the prospective teacher educators and the teacher with a high standard of knowledge, professional skills, cultural understanding, social responsibility and synergistic progress within a truly multicultural educational environment.

The Department is known for its discipline and student-friendly environment providing excellent technological facilities, quality knowledge resources (internet facilities, regular seminars, workshops, community programmes and other co-curricular experiences) and potent research experiences.

The department offers a degree in Ph.D,M.Ed., B.Ed.  B.Ed. Special  Education(HI) &B.Ed. Special  Education (LD) programmes and maintain the norms and standard of UGC/NCTE/RCI and GURU GHASIDAS VISHWAVIDYALAY. Research,teaching, practice teaching and internship programmes are regular features of the curricula of the courses being offered. Extension activities such as community enrichment programmes have been organized to develop awareness about health and education amongst rural people. Cultural activities, games and sports are organized by the students to identify and nurture the talents in the concerned fields. The department provides educational programmes that lead to the acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary to achieve information literacy, career advancement, personal enrichment, leadership, and service to the community. To ensure quality programme, the department of Education assesses practices, policies, and procedures on an ongoing basis to strengthen the overall effectiveness of curriculum, instructional delivery, and operations.

MISSION:

To achieve the vision of department of education,our mission with target and objectives as-

1-The various aspects of Teaching and their Learning process are prima facie  subject of teacher educators of department of education therefore all teacher educators of education department  always sensitive about teaching learning process and completes syllabus through class with determine time.

2-The Department of education  value base approach for developing sensitization towards community therefore teacher educators of department of education will motivate to students to participate in various program i.e. swachchhta abhiyan, plantation, community counseling for education etc.

3-The teacher educators of department of education develop a good research sense amongst research students and  as research supervisor they will guide to research students and publish research paper/article.

4- The department of education always sensitive about academic phenomenology in this context department of education committed to   organized the Seminar/Conference/Workshop and training Program.

5-The department of education committed to enhance and exchange the knowledge therefore MoU  will sign with national/state and specific institutions.
